Use a participating dentist.

When you visit a participating Altus Dental dentist, your out-of-pocket expenses will be less, and the dentist will file claims and paperwork on your behalf. We will also pay Altus Dental dentists directly and protect you from being balance billed. If you go to a non-participating dentist, it will cost you significantly more money, and you may have to file the claim yourself because non-participating dentists have not agreed to file claims for Altus Dental members.

At the participating dentist's office, show your identification card and discuss your treatment. After your visit, the dentist's office will file the claim and we will pay the dentist for covered services.

Check out Find a Dentist to see if your dentist is already a member of our network. If not, click here to send us your dentist's full name and address and we'll send him or her information about joining Altus Dental.

If your dentist relocates or ever decides not to participate with Altus Dental, you can choose a new participating dentist from our network without any disruption in your coverage or benefits.

We encourage you to be a wise consumer and use participating dentists to maximize your new benefit plan.
