You will easily recognize Altus Dental patients through their member identification card. On the back of the I.D. card is a toll-free number to call to verify eligibility and benefit levels. Or you can use BenefitCheck - an interactive program that allows you to check patient-specific benefit information online in seconds.

Q. Do I need to get a referral or go through a gatekeeper if I choose to send one of my Altus Dental patients to a specialist?
No. Altus Dental does not require member dentists to obtain specialty referrals or authorization from a gatekeeper.
